Thank you for joining this new book club community. When I read I love to look beyond the book, whether that means reading reviews, learning more about the author, or digging into the publishing process—and of course, discussing these findings with my book club. Only after joining the publishing industry did I realize how many exciting elements about a book’s "life" I was previously unaware of, from author Q&As to alternate title and cover options to the editing process. That’s what sparked the idea for Books From the Source. This newsletter will not only provide book club picks, chosen specifically to inspire engaging book club discussions, but it will also shed light on some of the exciting components of the book that are not always readily available to the everyday reader. Consider this a peek into the industry for you and your book club!
Happy reading! Lexy, Editor, Books From the Source

Emerson, Georgia, and Marley have been best friends ever since they met at a weight-loss camp as teens. For Marley, this means coming to terms with the survivor’s guilt she’s carried around since her twin sister’s death. For Georgia, it’s about learning to stop trying to live up to her mother’s and brother’s ridiculous standards, and accepting the love her ex-husband has tried to give her. But as Marley and Georgia grow stronger, the real meaning of Emerson’s dying wish becomes truly clear: more than anything, she wanted her friends to love themselves.
